Here’s Looking at Ewe – 24” X 24”
This view of the Fall Fair was created in cotton and muslin with details in fabric dyes and threads. |

Byzantine Shell, four views – 25” X 31”
Finished on wooden stretchers, these four illustrations of one shell were created in cottons with visual dimension added using fabric dyes and threads |

Hanging Out the Wash – 75” X 93”
The image reminds me of the wind blowing triangles of fabric, on an umbrella style clothesline. This twin size quilt or wall hanging is reversible. The back is royal blue and lime greens with dragonfly fabrics. |

Feathers and Shells #1 – 18” X 15”
This still life is a peaceful collection of nature’s gifts. The hand dyed fabrics by Marijam’s Fabrics and the cotton batiks are enhanced with rayon threadwork. |

Cherrywood Still Life – 80” X 47”
Inspired by a cherrywood turned vase by William Carey. This still life is a study of contrasts, the interior vs the exterior of the vase and a living tree vs the root now made into a vase

A New Heaven and Earth – 44.5” X 57”
The world torn in halfby overpopulation and wars is being sewn together a dove. The new world at the bottom has lush flora and fauna but a knot in the thread is a problem. God is represented by the crown at the top.

Jill in the Box – 15.5” X 33.25”
This self portrait has me trying to “get out of the box” to find time to create. The box and the “sky” are quilted with drawings of all the chores that get in the way, such as laundry, shopping, driving children, computers and phones.

Under The Big Top – 20” X 34”
All of the vests, hats and tassels are stitched with Sulky rayon thread to represent the colourful characters and animals in the circus.

Ottawa Seasons, a 25th CQA Celebration – 18.5” X 18.5”
In 2006 the Canadian Quilt Guild held its 25th anniversary in my home town of Ottawa. This quilt is a celebration of that. |
